How much are your cakes?
     

I have no set designs as I tailor everything to your specific requirements and all cakes can be made in a variety of sizes and flavours and with personalised decoration. Therefore, there are too many variables which affect the price to be able to publish a price list.

There is a guide to starting prices on the Flavours/Prices/Portions page which will give you an idea of the starting price for a basic cake. However, please be aware the larger the cake and/or the more complex the design, the higher the price will be. Please either call me on 07530 084669 or complete the form on the Contact page with as much detail as possible of your requirements and I’ll be able to give you a more accurate price for what you are looking for.

  How much notice do you require?
     
This is dependent on the type of cake you wish to order and the date it’s required; as my cakes are made to order, a minimum of 7 days notice is required. However, I can not guarantee that I will be  able to accomodate your request, this is dependent on my current orders at that particular time but will always do my best to help.

During the summer months which are the peak wedding season, I am very busy so to avoid disappointment please provide as much notice as possible, however during the quieter months I am able to take more bookings at short notice, please call to enquire.

If you require a novelty 3D cake I would recommend providing as much notice as possible.

Typically, most wedding cakes are booked between 3 and 6 months in advance and if you require fruit cake this is essential to ensure I am able to provide a cake which if fully matured.

Early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment, however please call even if your booking is at short notice – I will also try to accommodate your requirement if possible.

How do I order a cake?

     

The best way to contact me is via the contact form, as I am usually in the middle of either making or decorating a cake and cannot get to the phone. .

How can I pay for the cake?
     

CELEBRATION CAKES

A non-refundable 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance must be paid on collection in cash or building society cheque. Personal cheques can only be accepted with a valid cheque guarantee card.

WEDDING CAKES

A £75.00 deposit is all that is required to secure your booking/date.

Your wedding cake design, style, colour scheme etc. can then be confirmed closer to your wedding date, only when you are completely happy with your design will I ask for a signed booking form together with a non-refundable deposit of £100. Both of these deposits will be deducted from the final price.

Wedding cake bookings made within 2 months of the date of the wedding require a 50% deposit.

Unfortunately a booking is NOT CONFIRMED until the deposit has been received. Cheques need to be received within 7 DAYS of any provisional booking.

Cheques can be made payable to 'A Cake To Celebrate'.

Any balance is due on all wedding cakes 14 DAYS BEFORE THE CEREMONY.

Please note orders will not be released for delivery or collection until full payment has been received and cheques cleared.
